Chassahowitzka

Mermaid columns at the Quality Inn, Weeki Wachee
Bacon, and sausage on the free breakfast buffet.  I'll stay here again.
Checked, out, and went to Weeki Wachee Springs.
Today, there were two manatees.   Saturday, there had been only one.

Four videos for your entertainment.

I was in the water 25 minutes

A sad sight for this Packer fan on Super Bowl Sunday

Approaching the Chas

It was a windy day, so I did not venture further out on the wider Chassahowitka River

 I explored Salt Springs Run

Back to the Chass, again

 Baird Creek

The run to "The Crack" Spring.  To shallow to paddle, and I don't believe in walking.  Plus, from the abandoned canoe and kayak, people were already there.

 Back on the Chassahowitzka

The pelicans I saw to start the day were still near the launch.

Manatees at Chassahowitzka Spring

Landed at 3:20.  I only had an apple and a granola bar while on the water, so the hotdog cart was a welcome site.
