Milwaukee, aka Gathering Place of the Waters

First time kayaing my home town River.  Canoed as a kid, but not Downtown.
The rental place is in the Third Ward, paddled up River.

This will be a long Tale, with a lot of pictures.

I think, even it you did not grow up in Milwaukee, you will find it interesting.

And even, beautiful.

Brother Andy worked at this tannery.  Now, apartments.

Turn around point. Guessing the old North Ave. Dam was near here.

Harp street lights, a Milwaukee classic

The Harp, another Milwaukee classic.  Began drinking on the patio at 16.

Tom Gardner crewed the Iroquois.

Wouldn't that be, Offcoski?
