Santa Fe and Silver River

2999
Not a bad place to leave the kayak overnight.  Gilchrist Blue Springs
Naked Springs

 Limestone
Morning walk

Time for a swim

Lots of turtles in Gilchrist Blue

In the kayak

Santa Fe River

One of the springs in the Ginnie Springs property.  There are seven, I think.

Another spring

And another

July Springs, across the river from Ginnie.

Back to Gilchrist Blue

I was fortunate to camp here.  The State has taken over the park, and greatly reduced the number of campsites.  No camping this close to springs.  Which is a good thing from an erosion, trash, and overuse standpoint.

Snorkeling Naked Spring

Red ludwiga

This tree has since fallen into Naked Spring Run.  I left Gilchirst Blue, next stop, Silver Springs State Park

Cheeeseee!

Monkeys!

Not a bad 3 and a quarter day weekend.

Well, I tried to allow Anonymous postngs. As soon as I did, I had the same problem with the same person/spammer posting comments. One jerk spoils it for all. So,you'll need to register to post a comment.
