Lakes Maitland, Nina and Minnehaha

Light rain as I began to paddle from Fort Maitland Park, just after 6 PM
A thunderstorm had rolled through about an hour before.
Wood ducks don't seen the mind the rain.  The anhinga has other ideas.

Lots of ibis in the Lake Nina canal

Lake Minnehaha.  As you see, the rain stopped.

 Red shouldered hawk

Anhinga. Not a Harris hawk. Or, Kamala anhinga.

The ibis in search of a new roost.

 New roof roost

Dog Island, Lake Maitland. Thought of paddling to it, but one of those huge wake making boats was slowly towing a wake boarder.  Bet the lake front owners love that.  Especially when the lakes are high, as they are now.

Well, I tried to allow Anonymous postngs. As soon as I did, I had the same problem with the same person/spammer posting comments. One jerk spoils it for all. So,you'll need to register to post a comment.
