Suwannee River, Suwannee River State Park to Dowling Park, October 9, 2021

Muddy boat ramp at Suwannee River State Park.  Below, a deer runs across the parking lot as I start the drive to the Dowling Park boat ramp
Dowling Park Ramp.
On my bike, in the fog.

My cabin. After an hour twenty minute, 13 mile bike ride

On the River at 10:13

Suwanacooche Spring

Ellaville Spring

2 more of Suwanacoochee

The Idle Speed sign gets posted when the Suwannee is high.  It was ignored by motorboaters.

Duke Energy canal

Interstate 10

Stop at Anderson Spring

Did not walk far. The mud at the landing sucked off my watershoes.  Pulled them out of the ooze, and walked barefoot

Anderson Spring is hard to see, even in moderate River levels. While the Suwannee has fallen from recent highs, it still is rather high

The river has dropped enough to reveal some smaller springs

A little spring

I sometimes stop at this ramp.  It may be private, and people were on the property, so I did not today.

Out of sequence spring videos

Snorkeled this spring

Advent Christian Village dock. First of two.

Quarry Lake.  As the name implies, the limestone was used to build area roads.  I assumed that, it was confirmed by a friend on Facebook.

Back on the Suwannee
The second Advent Christian Village dock

Dowling Park River Camp

Landed at 4:37
Went to Falmouth Spring

Water level too high for me to want to swim.

Well, I tried to allow Anonymous postngs. As soon as I did, I had the same problem with the same person/spammer posting comments. One jerk spoils it for all. So,you'll need to register to post a comment.
