Perico Bayou

 My brother Pete and wife Jackie are in Bradenton Beach for a bit. So, I came over for a visit. 

Traffic was horrible. Clocked out at 3:50.  130 miles, on the water at 6:52 

The closest I have kayaked to Bradenton Beach is Fort DeSoto. I did a little research, and figured I could launch on the Highway 64-Manatee Ave Causeway linking Bradenton and Bradenton Beach. I put in at a small parking are on the south side, at  a bridge.  Not the bridge above

Low tide on the bayou.  Good for wading birds.
