Second consecutive weekend waking up on the Atlantic

This time, Sun Day lived up to its name.

Walked half a mile to Canova Park

I do not recall seeing exposed coquina rock on this beach the last two years.  My brother told me it was there, just more this year.  Exposed by shifting sands after Hurricane Nicole

The building I am in had to replace the entire dune after hurricanes Ian and Nicole

Launched from Goode Park onto Turkey Creek at 9:30

After the Port Malabar Road bridge, Turkey Creek gets more natural and scenic

"I wish the spillway was about 5 miles upstream"  said the guy who had launched just before me.

This "deer" has been here for years. It is a least the second one. 18 years is a long time,

This guy had a seat like thing on his board.  Did not see him get on it.

Back on the water, Banana River.  From Oars and Paddles Park

Underway at 3:50.  As I headed out, a guy coming in on a big boat said, "A LOT of dolphins out there"  His buddy confirned it, "A LOT!"

They weren't lying

Manatees hang out here when it is cold.  My sister in law saw a lot 2 weeks ago.  None today

Picked up the world's smallest tacos on the way back to the condo for dinner.  My hosts had gone to St. Augustine to watch a great nephew in a golf tournament.
