Haulover Canal and more

I was camping close to home for New Year's weekend. At Kelly Park. Before going there, I decided to visit Haulover Canal and see if the flamingos Hurricane Idalia blew north were still at Mullet Head Island.

I took the scenic route.Blackpoint Wildlife Drive

I got to the Bairs Cove Boat Ramp, at Haulover Canal, and was on the water at 8:40.

Into the Indian River

"Looking for pink amongst the white pelicans.

No flamingos so far. Were they on the island beyond Mullet Head?

I turned a corner, and there they were.
