Orange River

This was a new section of the Orange River for me. I had only paddled it from Manatee Park. This launch site is in the rural community of Buckingham. A small parking area with a trashcan and Great Calusa Paddling trail sign. Short walk, 40 yards to the water.

Lovers Key State Park

They are invasive, but this impressive iguana deserves the opening photo honor
The day's first stop was Naples. To pick up my patched Kevlar Tsunaumi from Jay the Kayak Doctor. I had the kayak on the water at 1:14. After a nice chat about Tsunamis and manatees with a Facebook friend who I had never met. Eddie was the first to realive we knew each other. But not until the next morning.
I saw the manatees.
