Suwannee River

A friend posted she was looking for a group to kayak the Suwannee. I figured a group would have an extra kayak, so I said I would go. Well, the group wimped out, and just the intrepid Darlene did the paddle. I would up renting a kayak from the Suwannee River Rendevous. $45 including a shuttle to Lafayette Blue Springs State Park.

Seminole State Forest to Highbanks

I mentioned on Facebook that my car was in the shop, making this the perfect chance for people to kayak with me. As long as they supplied the kayak. And transportation. Jimi H. responded. We met at Highbanks Marina on the St. Johns, then drove in my rental car to the Seminole State Forest where 2 of his kayaks waited on Blackwater Creek.

Lakes Maitland, Nina and Minnehaha

I secured my Hurricane Skimmer inside the rental car and made the 1.2 mile drive to Fort Maitland Park.
