Lake Howell

Because of the sun, I only saw one eagle when I took the photo, and thought it was a juvenile. It looked all dark.

Satellite Beach and Sebastian River

Turtle tracks.

Began a beach walk a few minutes after sunrise.

About a 45 minute walk. Took a dip in the condo pool when I finished.

Sebastain Inlet State Park, Crane Creek

Had my 2nd kayak lesson today. I think the first was in 1970. On Friess Lake, Wisconsin, Camp Villa Jerome.

But first, a sunrise beachwalk. I think I see turtle tracks in this photo. Did not notice them at the time.

I don't recall seeing mallards on an Atlantic beach before.

A dip in the pool, breakfast, and I headed to Sebastian Inlet State Park. As part of Safe Boating Week, the Florida Park Service and its partners offered basic kayaking classes at 3 Florida State Parks. Only $15.00. I thought, what the heck. I was the first student to arrive. There were 15 spots. 7 signed up. Only 3, including me, showed up

So, for 15 bucks, I had one on one instruction, a new PFD, a whistle, reflective stickers for my paddles, and a ID sticker. And got to talk to members of the Tampa Bay Kayak Anglers, who were the instructers, Florida Fish and Wildlife officers, and Coast Guard Auxilary personel. Much more then a $15 value.
