Canaveral National Seashore

It was the 20th anniversary of the day I bought and paddled my first used kayak. So, I went kayaking.
Launched from Lot 6 at the Apollo Beach unit of the Canaveral National Seashore at 12:45. It used to be Lot 7, but the old Lot 6 has been given back to nature.
That swirl may be the manatee I saw. Also saw a dolphin as I launched. Probably not the one in the opening photo.

Little Econlockhatchee River

I was just east of downtown Orlando this morning, and decided to go a bit farther east and drop the kayak in the Little Econ at Jay Blanchard Park and the Little Econ Greenway. Years ago I would make a 30 pluss mile roundtrip bike ride to the Greenway. I had never kayaked there until today.
On the water at 12:55
Short paddle to a dam
Paddling away from the dam.

Sugarloaf Key

Began the day with a walk from Rowan Manor to the docks.
My brother-in-law's drawings are on exhibit at a Key West Gallery. One of his sons found a sketch book, and with help from the gallery, set up the exhibit.

Silver Glen and Alexander Springs

On what may be the last cool morning of the FLorida winter, high 40's when I arrived at Silver Glen Springs, I thought I might see a manatee as I snorkled.
