Lakes Maitland, Nina and Minnehaha

A short paddle this morning.  Not because of this:

LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM EST THIS EVENING...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A LAKE WIND ADVISORY... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM EST THIS EVENING.
* WINDS... SUSTAINED SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 30 MPH.
* IMPACTS... BOATING CONDITIONS WILL BE HAZARDOUS ON INLAND LAKES AND OPEN AREAS ESPECIALLY ALONG NORTH-SOUTH WATERWAYS SUCH AS THE SAINT JOHNS RIVER AND THE INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A LAKE WIND ADVISORY INDICATES THAT WINDS WILL CAUSE ROUGH CHOP ON AREA LAKES. SMALL BOATS WILL BE ESPECIALLY PRONE TO CAPSIZING.

But, I had a guy pressure wash my home.  Darn HOA trespassing again.  Don't they know, moss on the north side is natural.  Anyway, I got on the water at 9:55.

Less birds then usual

Anhingas are always reliable.

 Belted kingfisher

Not as choppy on Lake Minnehaha as on the much larger Lake Maitland.  I did not have time for my usual rim of the lake paddle.  Just out and back.
Alligator near the canal entrance
