I crossed that bridge, which may have just been one span, my first working day in Florida, August, 1998.  Never kayaked here until today.  And, it was a backup plan. I was going to launch at the end of Banana River Drive, at the west end of the Barge Canal and the Banana River.  A place I had been to once before.  End of August, 2017.  That site now has wires across it and No Trespassing.  So, I headed back west and found a spot on the Beachline.

I wanted to paddle a place I had never been to, Deep Creek.  On the way home from St.  Augustine.  But, the car would not start, and after having AAA start it at the hotel, I figured a State Park would be better than a road side put in  if I needed another jump.  I did.
