Hillsborough River

Woke up this morning, not sure of where I would kayak. I would think about it on my walk. Did not do the morning walk, because just before I went out the door, I decided I would paddle the Hillsborough. And to beat the heat, I would skip the walk to get and earlier start on the water.

It was hot, so I tried to stay in the shade along the bank.

Fanning Spring back to Cedar Key

Started the day with a walk from Cabin 2 in Fanning Springs State Park.

Cedar Key and Fanning Spring

A cabin was available at Fanning Springs State Park. Could have booked it for 3 nights, but I'm on a fixed income. So I reserved Friday and Saturday night.

Went to Cedar Key to start the weekend. On the Gulf at 11:15

Tide was very high, so I paddled into the Number 2 Channel to look for roseate spoonbills on the other side of the wreck.
