Wekiva River

3380 Got the kayaking weekend off to an early start.  Went to Katie's Landing after work, Friday June 5.

 On the Wekiva River at 5:24

Almost did not get on the water.  Thunder in the area.

 

It did rain. Dropped the temperature 20 degrees.  Got to the point the River was warmer than then air and steam began to rise

 

 Thankfully, prothonotary warblers are bright.  So it stands out in the gloom.

 

 

 With rain, sometimes photos look like this

 I know because here is the same great blue heron

 Mama wood duck hiding her chicks
