Chicago to Lac La Belle

View from the hotel window
Waiting for a table. We were probably more than 11

The groom's alma mater

Some of the family. California Aaron, (we also have a Florida Aaron), Anne, Clare, Pete

Not family
Bob Newhart's place

A tree!

Brother Chris(yellow cap) did not get enough of the Chicago River, kayaking with me the day before.  Next to him, brother-in-law Bill, sailor, architect, ship builder, is in his element.

Weddingpoloza meets Lolopolza

Classic family photo. 9 of us, all looking in different directions

The Bears Still Suck!

Chicago is okay, but it is no Wisconsin.  And as long as I was so close, I had to spend a few days in my ancestral home.

Our Great Aunt Mae had a home on Lac La Belle, near Oconomowoc.  So, it was one of the first places I paddled.  A canoe. Brother Pete and Jackie live nearby.
On the water just before 7 PM

Fowler Lake is on the other side of the bridge. There is a dam and waterfall.

Landed at 8.

Now, that's a burger!

Keepsake from Stephanie and Derek's wedding.
