Bahia Honda and Long Key State Parks

I drove to the Atlantic Beach on Bahia Honda, not sure if I would launch a kayak.
The waters were surprisingly smooth, but it was very windy. Small craft advisory. I left the kayaks on the roof and walked the beach.
Jumping fish.
Seven Mile Bridge
Good wifi near the boat ramp, on the FLorida Bay side. The bay was rough.
I had breakfast, broke camp, and headed to my go to windy day Keys paddle. Long Key State Park.
On the water at 11:30
Even the shelterd lagoon/"lake" had a bit of a chop to it. Speaking of wind, I was hit by a vulture on the Seven Mile Bridge. A glancing blow to the pillar passenger side windshield. A foot over and it could have been trouble for me, not just the bird.
