Florida Caverns State Park, Chipola River

March 4, 2024 I joined the Adventures in Florida Meetup Group at Florida Caverns State Park. The group had arrived on Sunday, I came on Tuesday. They were kayaking another section of the Chipola when I arrived. I unhooked my trailer, and went to the Park boat ramp.

Batzel Springs. There are two sets of springs. Sometimes you need to walk to the one in back. Today, I could paddle through the swamp

I did not swim, as I wanted to get to the ranger station before it closed to confirm my campsite

Saw 2 alligators, or maybe the same one twice.

Landed at 5:15, 4:15 Central

Deer on the way to the ranger station. Got thing straightend out as far as my campsite is concernedd, went back and had dinner with Greg Pflug and the gang.
