Wekiva River

Since I retired 15 months ago, if I paddle the Wekiva River on a weekend, I launch from Katie's Landing or Wilson's Landing to avoid the crowds at the State Park and Wekiva Island. But, a cold front is moving in, so I thought it would be quiet at Wekiwa Springs State Park. It was.

On the water at 11:20.

I saw a fanily in a canoe and 3 paddle boarders. No one after Wekiva Island.

Launched from the Chassahowitzka Campground at 10:20.

There were a least a dozen manatees in the first magnitude spring just off the dock.

My month long permit to the Seminole State Forest expired today. I was on the water at 12:35.
