Mosquito Lagoon

Canaveral National Seashore
Under way from the Parking Lot 7 Launch site at 10:45.  Would have earlier, but I had to walk to the Eldora Lot to use the facilities.  Good thing I have some experience and knew to bring the Cutter with me.  Mosquito Lagoon mosquitoes love the outhouses.

A drizzly start

Manatees

 Skies beginning to clear

This is where I saw the dolphin that opens this Tale

 Turned into a beautiful day

 With dolphins

 Juvenile black crowned night heron
Mangrove propagules

Saw 10-15 black crowned night herons in this creek in Orange Island.  They all flew away.

The manatees were just off the Lot 7 launch site

I landed at 1:45
Saw a bobcat on the road

Had to stop to see the sea at the Seashore

Beautiful early afternoon at the beach.  Inland, not so much. Nasty thunderstorms, the last half of the drive home.  From Deltona to Winter Park.  40 Mph on I-4.  At least it cleaned the kayak.
