Rainbow River

Wide, spring fed rivers are good choices to paddle after a hurricane. After the Silver River on October 12 in the wake of Milton, I went to the Rainbow River on
Sunday.
On the River at 9:55 from Blue Run of Dunellon Park

Launched from Rays Wayside at 9:35. Had to make a detour due to water over Britt Road on the drive from home

Lake Sybelia

Fewer places to paddle the day after Hurricane Milton. I figured smaller, suburban, Lake Sybelia would be less polluted than Lake Fairview.

Lakes Virginia, Osceola, and Maitland

Rain for the 3rd consecutive day. Not ideal with a hurricane coming.
I was on Lake Virginia from Dinky Dock at 8:54
The bird pictures in this post will be small. Using the Olympus Tough. Waterproof, but the trade off is minimal zoom.

Round Island Park and more

A lot of rain this weekend. A break early Sunday morning, so I went for a bike ride from my cabin in Jonathan Dickinson State Park.
The Park has a nice bike path. Just over 2 miles end to end.
A deer came out of the saw palmetto
The bike path ends at a short boardwalk where gators are sometimes seen. Not today.
The rain returned during the return ride.
