Becks Pond, Delaware
My first stop was a park on the Christina River, in Wilmington. It had no place to launch a kayak. There is a boat ramp, 6 miles away. Becks Pond is abut 14 miles but closer to my next destination. Not to mention, with a noreaster coming in, I thought the Pond would be less windy than the River.I was underway at 4:10
Ducks and geeseThe Pond is good sized. I had places to go, so I did not explore all of it

Chocorua Lake New Hampshire
My plan was to kayak Echo Lake at Franconia State Park. But, when I arrived, the parking lot was full. So, I headed south on NH Highway 16, figuring I would find something.
I passed two open areas with water viiews, I turned on a cross road and there was a dirt parking lot. Fairly full. Lots of people, mainly from Massachsetts, looking at the Mountain and fall colors. I walked around, found a place to put the kayak in. Found a better place, and was on the water at 12:40

Lake Wallace, Vermont and Quebec, Akers Pond, New Hampshire
It was 23 degrees at sunrise in Errol, New Hampshire. I did not go outside until 9:15
Took a few minutes running the defroster to get the ice off the windshield.
The first of two stops on the way to my kayaking destination. The blind also looks out on the road. Because in winter, moose lick the road salt.

Androscoggin River, New Hampshire, Richardson Lake, Maine
I hoped to paddle down the Androscoggin to Umbagog Lake. Entering Maine in the middle of the large lake. But it was windy, so I did not venture out of the river.
