Myakka River State Park

I was able to get a cabin for nights at Myakka River State Park.
I launched from the Park Road Bridge at 12:10 and paddled up River.
Big dead turtle in the low water. I would see this turtle again, but with vultures.
I would see a lot of woodstorks over the next 4 days. Alligators are a given at Myakka.

Lake Gem, Park Lake, and Mosquito Lagoon

Falcon 9 launch was delayed, so I watched it from land, not in the kayak. The day began on Gem Lake and Park Lake. On Sunday I discovered an old boat ramp at the edge of an open field on what may be the property of a new apartment complex.I parked in the street, and carted the kayak to the water.
Launched at 9:20. I intentionaly waited to 9 AM so cars would be off the road, at work, so I could get a good spot.
Into Lake Gem, first.
