I forgot about this buck. Which happens when you begin adding more photos to a July Tale in September.

 Rain at Katie's Landing. No surprise late on a July Friday afternoon. On the Wekiva River at 5:30 to start the weekend.

These folks must live on the River. I see them frequently

 

 I was ready to land, but did the usual paddle in the area across from Katie's Landing.  Something splashed, behind me.

 

A buck. And, a doe.

Had to wait for the buck to raise its head to get the opening photo.

 

 

 Landed just after 8 PM. Darker than it should have been due to the rain.
