St Johns and Econlockhatchee Rivers

a>
Launched from C.S. Lee Park at 8:08 AM
In a pefect world, I would have been launching from campsite 6 at W.P. Franklin Campground onto the Caloosahatchee River. Tropical Storm Debby changed my plans, and I left a day early.
I took took a side channel to avoid the brunt of the wind.
The side channel was long and winding. And a dead end. I had to paddle back almost all the way back to the launch.
Gator pair
A 15-20 minute paddle to the mouth of the Econ took almost 2 hours.
Stopped on this sandbar shortly after turning around. Picked up trash and looked for a Falcon 9 rocket through the clouds. Did not see it. Heard it, which surprised me.

Landed at 12:03. Just short of 4 hours on the water.
Lunch at the Jolly Gator.
Gator bites and a Kona Big Wave. Both fit the setting.
