Seven Sisters Campground, Weeki Wachee

Breakfast and the view from the empty site next to me.
My usual launch for kayaking the Weeki Wachee, Rogers Park, was still closed after last month's hurricanes. I thought og launching at Jenkins Creek Park. It is a fairly long paddle in a canal along Shoal Line Blvd to get to the Weeki Wachee River. With low bridges that require portages at high tide. I decided to launch at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.
The website said the kayak launch opens at 8. No one, except paddlers was there at 8:30.When the employees finally arrived, they made everyone wait another 10 minutes. I told the employee I was going to paddle down River and back. She said I can't paddle back. I took my business elsewhere. Elsewhere was the Weeki Wachee Marinaaa. Near Rogers Park. I parked in front of a sign that said "No Private Launching" I went in, asked nicely, offered to pay $10 (same price as the County ramps) and got on the water.
A bit of a challange from this dock.
