Turkeys in the parking lot.
I launched from a busy canoe beach, four boats landing as I set off, at 2 pm. Headed over to the log featured in Sunday's Tale.
One, maybe two gators slid off the main log as I approached.
Birds of the lagoon.
Down the Wekiva River to Rock Springs Run.
It was busy for a mid week afternoon.
Twenty minutes to, then up, Rock Springs Run.
Rock Springs Run also had a lot of traffic. Two large groups, maybe a dozen canoes and kayaks.
I saw the last people well before I passed Otter Camp. A tree across the Run. No problem getting over, not even a scrape.
I turned back with the above view, 4:08.
Into what I call, the "second open area"
Belted kingfisher
I walked to Big Buck on Sunday.
No bucks, but two does just down Run.
It began to rain. Light drizzle, no problem.
The rain came down harder. Much harder. Thunder, lightning. I bet more rain fell this afternoon than has come down the calender year before today.
The rain dampen my photography, but, the watertight housing came in handy during the deluge.
I let up by the time I got back to the lagoon.Landed at 6:05. Glad for the rain, it is needed.

Sorry you got caught in the thunderstorm. We made it home before the rain yesterday.
Once again, your blog has provided valuable info as Pam and I are doing a clean-up on RSR tomorrow from King's Landing to the park.
...and the Deer master strikes again. How do you do it Master Dave? I know, it is a secret. Nice post, well, another nice post on Rock Springs Run.
No secret, just go where the deer are. Two deer photos on the Tales in 8 weeks is not very masterly.
