Indian River

I wanted to paddle Haulover Canal after work.  But when I entered the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, a portable sign stated, Courtenay Parkway closed. Hopefully, going into NASA, I thought as I drove by.

Nope.  I turned around.  Drove on Gator Creek road, which I paddled past about a month ago.  Every pull over had a vehicle.  So, I went to the Max Brewer Causeway, parked, and was on the Indian River at 6:25.

Paddling an area I had not been on before. Northeast of the Causeway

Looks like there was a fire in the Refuge

Saw a manatee, unable to get a picture

Landed at 8:20.   A lot of folks still on the Causeway.  Free entertainment in the Covid-19 era
