Baypoint Park to 5 Mile Creek

Launching from a new spot. Baypoint Park.  It is behind Baby's Coffee. On the water at 9:17
RV Park across the water. I wanted to paddle to Five Mile Creek.  A nephew told me about it on Thanksgiving.  It is in Bill Keough's "The Florida Keys Kayaking Guide"  We got there.  Eventually.
The launch site is on the wrong side of the key, the last of the Torches, to have an easy paddle to 5 Mile Creek.  This bridge is on the west side, away from the Creek

A small bay, on the Florida Bay side.

Dead end

Back to the bridge

Kayaking with my brother-in-law's friend, neighbor, work associate, Brian

Brian, like Bill, is an architect.  Worked on the house above. If we ask nicely, maybe we can launch from it, next time.

Bridge on the other side of the key.

Finally, after 2.5 hours of paddling, we were in 5 Mile Creek

But, not for long, as we had been on the water 2.5 hours

This is the  one of  old bridges,  The new bridges were built in the early 1980's.  My brother, Andy worked on them
