Sanibel

Just one spoonbill, today. Just beyond it, in the mangroves, a juvenile bald eagle. I failed to get that photo.
Brother Pete and spouse Jackie invited me to come to Fort Myers for the weekend.  I arrived Friday night.

Wildlife Drive, Ding Darling, Sanibel, Saturday.

Tide flowing under Wildlife Drive.  Foreshadowing future events.

Bald eagle. It was windy, so hard to get a good photo.

Caloosa Shores bridge.  At the stop sign as you leave Wildlife Drive.

Landed

Wonder if I had camera issues. One pic between landing and a stop at the East End Deli
I have never bought anything besides a Cuban at the Deli.  Tacos were on sale.
Also, falling apart. Poorly prepared tortillas.

Had a Cuban, too.  Shared with family. Not only were Pete and Jackie in the area, but brother Pat had given Monica and Bill a week at his condo as a wedding present.  They had arrived a day late, because they could not miss the Zombie Bike Ride the previous weekend.  Pat was here too, he had been staying on Captiva Island.

As we did last year for Jackie's Birthday dinner, we went to a Pinchers Crab Shack.  Last year, went to one in Fort Myers.  This year, Fort Myers Beach.

Photo by Margret Topp Kiehnau.  Who got to know Jackie, and met her husband, at Saz's. We met in first grade, or maybe, kindergarten.
