Wekiva River, Blackwater Creek

Launched from Katie's Landing at 8:40

The side channel was blocked.  The second one. The first short leg, as soon as you head down the Wekiva from Katie's Landing, was clear.

Opening to the main channel

Hibiscuis

Manatees. I was later told there was a baby in the group. I did not see it.
These assholes went right over the manatees.  I said, "Manatees" and pointed. They slowed down. Had plenty of time, and room to change course. But did not.   He did have the sign of an idiot.  Baseball cap on backwards.

Marsh mallow

Blackwater Creek

Very large alligator. At a narrow part of the Creek.  Would have made a big wake had it gone in the water.

Taking a break

Headed down Blackwater Creek

Channel  to the Wekiva

So hot, turtles were shading, not sunning.

Break 2. I am getting old. Used to do this non-stop

A brief shower

Landed at 2:15
