Blackwater Creek

Entering my private kayaking paradise.  That is what it feels like when I unlock the gate at the Seminole State Forest.  A permit is required.

On the Creek at 8:20.

Paddled up stream

Woodstork

Limpkins

Old bridge pilings

The creek is blocked by a fallen tree.  It was 9:42 when I turned around.  Did not make it to the Iron Bridge. Or even, the moss covered camper.

Back at Moccasin Spring

Great blue heron

One of about 4 turkeys that had been roosting when my approach must have alarmed them.

Back at the launch site. I had some time, so I kept going.

Florida Trail Campsite
Across the Creek, alligator nest site.
A big one has been here for years.  I saw two, Saturday. This year's boyfriend, I assume.

Landed just after 11. I will be back, Friday after work.  My permit is good through March 23
