Rock Springs Run

On the Wekiva at 7:48

Surprised to see an alligator on a cool, cloudy Monday morning.  It would be the only one I saw. Weed beds like this must retain heat, or act like a blanket.  As over the years I have often see gators in such spots on cool days.

Rock Springs Run

Red bellied woodpecker.  For a moment, a pileated woodpecker was on the same tree

Turn around and tinkle stop at the Big Buck Campsite

Back on the Wekiva

There are a pair of black crowned night herons just upriver of the Rock Springs Run, Wekiva River confluence.

There was an otter in the lagoon. Failed to get a photo. Had a glimpse of a white tail deer on the Run.  That's what I saw. The white tail, as it bounded through the forest.

Landed at 11:10.

A brief snorkel before leaving for work.

Bass and bream

I had the spring to myself.
