Wekiva River and Rock Springs Run

I could have stayed another day in Southwest Florida.  Brother Pat and family had two hotel rooms in Ft. Myers, Saturday night.  But the forecast was bad, so I came home.  Forecast only a little better at home.  Less wind.  And a break in the rain was forecast.  None, when I launched at Wekiwa Springs State Park at 9:35.

Felt like Lake Maitland with all the anhingas.

A little rain fell.  Pics above and below were taken with the Olympus TG-5 as rain came down.

Stopped at Big Buck Camp.a

Back on Rock Springs Run

Landed at 2:22.  Saw one canoe in almost 5 hours.

The thing on the shell is a tracking device

I saw at least three tagged turtles.
