Turns out, that even though the boat ramp at Fort Maitland Park has been closed almost 2 months, you can still launch a kayak here. The cops were not waiting for me when I landed, that's an empty squad car to block trailers.
Landed at 7:50. A Maitland PD vehicle, this one occupied came into the Park. Not a word, so kayaking is ok. Nice to be back, and it was nice to paddle some new places the last six weeks or so.
