Suwannee River, Fanning Springs

On the Suwannee at 7:56 AM for a short paddle before checking out of the cabin.  A balmy 38 degrees. Probably a tad warmer, on the water

Steam rising off the Suwannee
More steam in the warmer water of Fanning Springs Run.
No manatees observed

Into the run from Little Fanning Springs

Woodstork

The spring is behind the fallen tree. I got to it, Saturday, but did not have time to get out of my kayak today.  Taking water shoes off, rolling up my pants, reversing the process, plus toweling off, takes time.

Back on the Suwannee

Very steamy back in Fanning Spring Run

Still no manatees

My walking shoes, at the landing

Trees and limestone

US 27 bridge

Landed at 9:05

A good thing the manatees were outside the swim area, or I would have been late for work.

Work is 140 miles away.  Had to be there at 12:30.  Clocked in at 12:31. Because it is more difficult to log into the work computer then it is to launch a ICMB.
